We are Simona and Sidse, two friends who met in Copenhagen, Denmark where we both studied at the university. We are open-minded, share the same sense of humor and adventurous spirits. We have lived around the globe for several years and we are here to share our adventures and give you personal travel tips.
Our lives are travelicious and the world is our home!
Born and raised in Slovakia, I’ve always had to explain where I come from to others as my country is not well-known in the world. I love to travel but traveling is not only my passion but my lifestyle, too. I have lived in seven countries so far and the count is still live! I fell in love with many places I visited but my favorites are Melbourne in Australia and Copenhagen in Denmark where I lived for a while. After several years around the globe, I returned to my homeland to spread the word about beauties of Slovakia. I discovered places off the beaten path in Bratislava, the capital as well as in other parts of Slovakia where tourists usually don’t go and shared my secret hideouts on this blog.
In general, I’m a positive person and I never say no to a spontaneous trip. If I could, I would be traveling my whole life because I want to see as much as I can! I also like to interact with local people whenever I go, to hear their stories and get a local tip on what to visit or where to eat. Not to mention coffee is one of my guilty pleasures so I tend to know my way around coffee shops wherever I go.
Nowadays, I call home the city of Vancouver in Canada where I’ve been living for the past few months. I’m excited to discover hidden spots which are not pinpointed on the tourist maps!
Born and raised in Denmark I’ve had the travel bug for as long as I can remember. Never traveled much as a child, and so books became my way of exploring the world and different cultures.
Asia has always been my travel dream, and I ended up in Chiang Mai, Thailand on a 5-month internship. Somehow I stayed for 3,5 years! Chiang Mai will always be my second home, but after three failed attempts to leave Thailand, I finally felt it was time to return to Europe and have since then lived in Ireland and Germany, where I’m currently residing.
When I travel I rarely have a plan, I just figure everything out as I go along. I try to spend enough time at each destination for me to explore the “musts” and to chill and get to know the place by finding little, hidden treasures. My weaknesses are chocolate, cake and everything sweet, so I usually find bakeries, ice cream parlors and the like wherever I go.
